Here are my thoughts:

OK so I have mixed emotions about this cheese slicer. On the one hand it is very beautifully made. It is obviously high quality and kind of fancy I guess. The blade is seems sharp enough, and I can see how to open the width. And it has the appearance of being easy to use. However, I have had anything but an easy time. I'm sure it's mostly user error, but I can't figure out how to use it and actually get nice slices of cheese. It doesn't feel comfortable no matter how I hold it. And when I try to slice cheese it is awkward and the slices, if you can call them that, look horrendous.
