Here are my thoughts:

Braided cords are definitely the way to go. All my other cords haven broken and shorted out so easily and this one is so much nicer. Also, this cord is just the right length for when I want to connect my IPod to my laptop. I love that it doesn't easily get tangled and stays bundled nicely. It even came with a handy little Velcro strap to keep it organized when storing/packing it. My Ipod connected instantly when I plugged it in and very quickly charged, noticeably faster than with my original cord. I ordered the "Rose Gold" color and while it is beautiful and I love it, I would say it's more just gold and very light on the rose if any.
