Cooling Pillow Mat by Angel Baby

Here's what Amazon says about the product details:
  • SOFT & COMFORTABLE: Our gel pillow mat is designed to be soft on your skin and ensure you receive a good night's rest. Made of an ultra-comfortable cotton-blend, it's like sleeping on cool air.
  • HELPS REDUCE MIGRAINES & HOT FLASHES: The Frosty Pillow Gel Mat is not only cool to the touch, it helps bring down fevers, reduces migraines and hot flashes, and relieves neck pain.
  • FLEXIBLE & FORM FITTING: Contouring to your body and your pillow, the Frosty Pillow Gel Mat fits inside your pillowcase or lies on top of the pillow itself; whichever you choose, it's flexible enough to relax your head and neck.
  • DURABLE & NO LEAKS: Unlike other sleeping mats that are filled with water, our premium mat is filled with a safe gel that won't leak onto your face or sheets.
  • REFRIGERATOR SAFE: Make the cooling effect even more amazing! Simply pop the gel mat into the fridge for a while, then take it out and lay on it to enjoy a truly cooling sensation that lasts even longer.

Here are my thoughts:

First of all, this thing works. It actually stays cool as you lay on it, and it almost seems like it gets cooler the longer you lay on it. This is great for me because my pillow top mattress keeps me too warm, even in the winter. It's really thin and conforms to your pillow. It comes with a small cover for washing, although it's not very soft so I wouldn't sleep directly on it. I put it under my own pillowcase to make it more comfortable. I sleep on a firmer pillow so the addition of the gel mat was pretty much unnoticeable. There's one fairly big problem I had with it. I sleep on my side with my ear pressed completely against the pillow. Well, the mat makes this sort of crunching noise when I move my head even a little bit. And with my ear that close you can imagine how loud it would be. That  made it distracting and difficult to sleep. It would probably be a better fit for someone who sleeps on their back. I will still use this mat, but probably only when it's really hot or I have a bad headache.

Here's where you can find it:
