Here are my thoughts:

The best thing about this set is how much you get for a pretty low price. However, you get what you pay for and these seem pretty cheap in quality. The plastic is completely solid and hard, but thin. There is absolutely zero flexibility or movement. And there is a thing layer of padding on the insides. Also, in our kit we got three knee pads and one elbow pad. The elbow pads are smaller than the knee pads so the third knee pad doesn't really fit so well on my son's elbow.
