90 Pound Watercolor Painting Paper Pad by Us Art Supply

Here is what Amazon says about the product details:
  • Acid Free, Neutral pH, Cold Press Surface, Natural White Sheets
  • Standard Weight Paper Surface for Mastering Watercolors Techniques with Wet Media
  • Excellent Paper for Wet Painting with Water Colors and Mixed Media Uses

Here are my thoughts:

I got this 90 pound pad as well as the 140 pound pad. This 90 pound one has really nice and thick paper, and the 140 pound is even thicker. But honestly, after using the 90 pound, I really don't see a need for anything thicker. Plus the 90 pound pad has twice as much paper for the same price. There are 24 sheets in this pad, which isn't that many, but for the price and the quality and thickness of the paper I think it is more than fair. There is a bit of a texture to the surface of the paper and it has a matte finish. Colored pencils and water color paints go on smoothly and there was not even a hint of bleed through. I typically prefer to have a spiral binding for anything I draw or sketch in, and I don't usually like the pad style. But this one is designed to tear out each page after use and the cover is not attached to the top of the pad so it lays open nicely.
