Here are my thoughts:

You definitely got a lot of bang for your buck with this set. Each buffer file has a lightly gritty texture which is the green side, as well as a polished, smooth surface which is the white side. You really only need to use each side a very small amount on each nail to get great results. So one buffer file will probably last for quite a long time, even with it only being 3.5 inches long. And this comes with 12 buffer files, so if you are buying just for yourself you'll be set for a super long time. Personally I don't need this many for just myself, but I think they will make an excellent party favor for my next get together with my girlfriends.
