Here are my thoughts:

When they say "mini" they mean MINI. But, while they are small they are effective. The course side does a good job of sanding down the nail and the fine side smooths it out. Its a good thing it comes with so any though, because one square won't go further than one or two uses. I don't find the small size particularly comfortable to hold and use. But because they're so small they're easy to keep in all kinds of places. I like to keep one in my purse as well as my coat and jacket pockets.
